Our client is seeking to engage a Credit Portfolio Analyst on a contract for 6 months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive credit reviews on new and existing clients
  • Perform portfolio management duties including data quality maintenance in credit systems, ongoing monitoring of credit exposure for early warning and problem recognition and administrative support to the end-to-end lending processes
  • Assist in regular and ad hoc portfolio reviews, internal and external reporting and ad hoc projects assigned
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding client, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policies and procedures, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge/Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit analysis in commercial or corporate banking
    • Sound knowledge of accounting and finance (Desirable)
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree Holder in Accounting, Economic or Banking & Finance
    • Other professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, CFA, FRM, etc.) (Desirable)
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated skills in analyzing and interpreting financial statements
    • Highly numerate and proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Financial modelling skills (Desirable)
  • Competencies:
    • Attentive to details and strong sense of responsibility
    • Ability to work under pressure and work independently
    • Effective communication skills to liaise with various business functions
    • A good team player
