Credit Officer

Contract Type: On-going temporary position
Location of position: Based in Knoxfield
Commencement Date: Immediate start

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Credit Officer is to:

  • Manage daily release of sales orders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major account customers, internal/external sales staff
  • Reconciliation of major accounts
  • Data entry, allocation of customer payments and reconciliation of debtor accounts
  • Customer Credit Claims, advising supervisor, Credit reference requests
  • Handling relevant phone calls and mail queries
  • Conduct telephone collections on a regular basis

Required Skills/Experience

  • High level of General Credit experience is essential, minimum 4-5 years
  • Computer literacy, working knowledge of MS Office suite, esp Excel
  • Data entry skills and telephone technique
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Experience in working on a variety of debtor systems
  • Experience with debtor and ERP systems
  • Relationship building skills and telephone technique
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Building industry experience is desirable
