Position title: CPT Engineer - Telecoms - Infrastructure - NSNJP00028840
Contract Estimation Duration: 08/03/2021 to 07/09/2021

Salary / Rate: $250 - $350 PD (DOE)
Purpose of this position:
The main purpose of the role is to ensure commercial integrity and accuracy for bill of quantity submissions toward the client and towards the supplier.
To support the design team and build team with site specific technical and contractual queries.
General Requirements:

  • Verification and approval of supplier's bill of quantities
  • Preparation and submission of customer bill of quantities
  • Liaise with local SAED team on commercially impacting queries
  • Liaise with local build team on commercially impacting queries regarding methodology, scope and content of bill of quantities
  • Liaise with subcontractors on commercially impacting queries regarding build methodology, scope and bill of quantities content
  • Ensure alignment with local CPT site solutions team regarding design changes and site build materials
  • Understand and able to refer to local build market methodologies and site-based conditions
  • Provide real time clarity bill of quantity status to stakeholders
  • Update system with CPT updates
  • Maintain end to end visibility on site costs and sales through the internal system database from feasibility to final account
  • Ensure that all 'in-flight variations' are processed in an accurate and timely manner from receipt of variation in the Bill of Quantity tool through to subcontractor purchase order release (end to end)
  • Assist and present at the daily scrums to report on BOQ status

    Education:
  • Experience of end to end telecommunications site rollout cycle within the Australian environment
  • Experience of telecommunications site build cycle within the Australian environment
  • Experience of telecommunications site SAED cycle within the Australian environment. Preferred experience with database input and reporting.
  • Knowledge of local market build methodology and site conditions
    Technical Scope:
    Understanding and application of end to end wireless telecommunications rollout procedures
  • Able to discuss, understand and provide alternative proposals on build methodology with local contractors and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a matrix multi-national environment with focus customer centric focus.
  • Analytical mindset with an ability to identify pricing anomalies and work with stakeholders to resolve queries, including but not limited to
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite, including advanced Excel, Intermediate Word and Power Point etc.
