Our WA Government client is seeking to engage a Development & Infrastructure Coordinator on a Temporary basis, Full Time Position
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day responsibilities of the Development and Infrastructure area of the Design, Assets and Development department, in an efficient and effective manner to ensure organisational objectives are achieved in accordance with agreed parameters, processes and procedures, in the areas of the City's developments, subdivisions and drainage matters
- In consultation with the Manager Design, Assets & Development provide technical assistance and advice to other officers, consultants, contractors, developers, ratepayers and government and statutory agencies as required
- Investigate stormwater drainage complaints, enquiries and problems and prepare cost effective remedial actions for inclusion in annual budgets and budget reviews as necessary
- Assess applications for works on road reserves, sewer and water extensions, underground power, fibre optic, gas and all other services for residential, commercial and industrial developments, identifying the impact on existing infrastructure, identifying action as appropriate
- Coordinate the works being undertaken on the City's road reserves, by external utility providers, ensuring appropriate monitoring and reinstatement has been carried out, liaising with the Coordinator Works as applicable
- Undertake the processing and assessment of Building Licence Applications and Subdivision and Infrastructure Services Clearances with respect to engineering conditions
- Work collaboratively with the Coordinator Development and Traffic to manage workload and project prioritisation for Infrastructure Development
- In conjunction with Administration Officer Infrastructure Development, coordinate and undertake the assessment and approval for Infrastructure Services and crossover applications and subsidies, answering enquiries and providing technical specification advice as required
- Undertake the day to day coordination of the City's Drainage Management programme and regularly review outcomes to ensure organisational objectives are achieved
- Liaise with the Manager Design, Assets & Development in the development and design of new and innovative drainage and stormwater management solutions which are cost effective and deliver identified outcomes
- Assist the Manager Design, Assets & Development with the compilation of the Departmental annual budget particularly in relation to drainage capital works
- Receive public enquires, complaints and correspondence in relation to development and infrastructure issues and concerns and take appropriate actions in line with established policies and practices with the aim of maintaining a strong customer focussed service
Essential requirements
- Possession of a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering
- Significant relevant experience at a similar level working within the field of Civil Engineering, including experience in drainage, road and traffic management device design principles, subdivisions and development controls
- Ability to manage contracts and deliver outcomes as per Service Specifications
- The successful candidate will need to provide a National Police Clearance dated within the last (12) twelve months
