Contracts Specialist – [FIFO/DIDO]
Chandler Macleod is currently seeeking expereinced Contracts Specialists for a mine site based in the Bowen Basin.
About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Contracts, the Contracts Specialist role will be responsible for supporting Contractor / Vendor Owners in the practical implementation and embedment of the Contractor Management Framework (CMF) for all contractors engaged to perform work on site.
You will act as the primary advocate for CMF compliance with key responsibilities including:

This role presents a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a fully autonomous haulage operation and further leverage the BHP Operating System practices.
The opportunity is being offered on a 4/3 roster located on Site.

About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Contracts, the Contracts Specialist role will be responsible for supporting Contractor / Vendor Owners in the practical implementation and embedment of the Contractor Management Framework (CMF) for all contractors engaged to perform work on site.
You will act as the primary advocate for CMF compliance with key responsibilities including:
- On-boarding new vendors (CMP Scope of Work & Risk Register reviews)
- Auditing of contract partners Contractor Management Plans, ensuring compliance to the Safety Health Management System
- Provide training for Contract Owners, Supervisors, General Users and Contract Partners
- Coordinating contractor engagement plans (CEP’s), pre-mobilisation, safety, performance and close out meetings
- Weekly reporting of CMP compliance
- Monitor, support and sustain contract partners’ compliance to the DNM Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)
- Provide feedback and continuous improvement ideas on the process
Desired Skills
- Experienced in MS Office Suite, Documentum, Tempo, SharePoint, and SAP
- Administration experience on a mine site
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team
- Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11
- S1,2,3 & G2 highly desirable
