Contract/Procurement Officer
Our client requires the services of a Contract/Procurement Officer to assist their team in reaching their objectives. This position is based in Perth. You will be rewarded with competitive industry rates on a 5:2 roster. This is an opportunity to settle in to one site with a friendly work crew in a safety conscious work environment.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the Contracts and Procurement team for the Iron Bridge Project, in particular with respect to tendering of contracts for works and services, capital equipment and materials and post award contract administration and close-out

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Prepare and arrange execution of Confidentiality Agreements
  • Assist to develop tender packages for various contract types
  • Maintaining registers of tender queries and coordinating timely responses by seeking input from relevant stakeholders and compiling responses into Addenda for review and issue
  • Prepare and maintain registers of contract insurances and securities
  • Assist in arranging approvals and execution of various contract and approval documents

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and analyses to support contracts and procurement decision-making
  • Seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g. technical, legal etc.) to assist in identifying and evaluating key risks at contract formation
  • Maintain and update procurement and contract records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity to meet organisational compliance requirements and provide access to procurement and contract information
  • Contract administration to support execution, including preparing draft correspondence and contract notices and payment claims assessment
  • Work as part of the team to deliver value through competitive sourcing and effective contract management


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in contract administration, procurement or supply chain within mining or similar heavy industries desirable
  • Bachelor degree in commerce, business, law, or similar desirable
