Chandler Macleod are seeking a Contracts Manager to join our client for an opportunity based in Liverpool.
Reporting to the General Manager of Commercial and Delivery this role will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the commercial, financial and contractual operations of the project.

The duties of this role will include:

  • Read and analyse construction and service drawings
  • Read and analyse construction contracts to determine time and costs and defend any time and cost related claims relating to delay and disruption
  • Support the commercial teams in preparing EOI documents, ROI collation, recommendations, tenders, contract award and construction delivery
  • Implement best practice principles and process for governance and support of the commercial team
  • Assist with managing the commercial and delivery team
  • Commercial and cost reporting
  • Provide advice on delivery solutions to minimise critical risk and identify and capitalise opportunities
  • Establish contracts and monitor ongoing performance

    To be suitable for this role you will have:
  • Minimum 10 years post qualification experience in major Civil and or Building construction.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, Management or Engineering
  • Highly experienced in contract and common Law
  • Sound knowledge of construction Environmental, Health and Safety gained through proven previous industry experience.
  • Outstanding IT skills including cost management software, MS Office suite including MS Project
  • Proven experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement
