Contact Centre Officer

  • Frankston based
  • 6 month casual assignment with view to extend, part time rostered hours with opportunity to flex up hours, start date 29th November 2021.
  • $29.59 per hour plus super


Chandler Macleod is proud to partner with our client, South East Water, to assist with recruiting for their Corporate Call Centre based in Frankston. South East Water provide pivotal support for members of the community and are focused on providing resolutions for their customers. They provide an essential service and display a customer centric approach with a strong focus on sustainability for the future.

We are seeking candidates that will have the ability to work in an office-based role in Frankston. We are looking for candidates that are available for a minimum of 6 months with the possibility to extend. We are currently seeking staff across the below shifts:

  1. 10.00pm-6.00pm daily (37.5 hours per week)
  2. 9.30pm-5.30pm daily (37.5 hours per week)
  3. 1.30pm-5.30pm daily (20 hours per week)
  4. 1.30pm-5.30pm daily (20 hours per week)

We are ideally seeking candidates with a willingness to pick up extra shifts/hours if required.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Call Centre Experience
  • Customer Service experience (face to face or phone based)
  • Ability to manage high volume inbound calls and email cases (the role will be predominantly phone based - over 90%)
  • Resolution skills
  • Strong Computer Literacy - must be technically minded and demonstrate ability to be comfortable with IT equipment set up and multiscreen use.
  • You must have strong customer empathy and be customer centric in your approach


Requirements from you:

  • Be flexible to available to work between 8am and 6pm post training for any extra hours or as required if coverage is required
  • Be fully available for 4 weeks of training - please note training will be held in the office in Frankston unless otherwise advised. Training hours will typically be full time hours, Monday to Friday starting at 9am.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to each caller
  • Demonstrated experience working towards KPI's
  • Demonstrate a customer centric approach
  • Personable phone manner
  • Technically Savvy as you will worked with double screen Monitor set up and within multiple screens and systems
  • Every call is different, so you must be able to think on your feet and work across multiple cutomer enquiries


Candidates will need to undergo a background check which will include a National Police Check and the ability to provide either recent or current references based on your Call Centre or Customer Service working history.


There is an ideal start date of 29th of November 2021 following on from a successful interview process. This may be delayed until the required number of staff have successfully complete the recruitment process.
