Chandler Macleod currently has a very exciting opportunity available for a Construction Planning Coordinator in the Ballarat area working for one of the largest electricity suppliers in Victoria!

The Construction Planning Coordinator will report directly to the Field Operation Manager and will be responsible for supporting the smooth delivery of construction projects by providing construction expertise during the plan and design phase.

The Construction Planning Coordinator will use their well-developed technical skills to ensure jobs proceed to construction in a timely manner while acting as an effective liaison between key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

- Review and approval of constructability of design, materials and scheduled expectancies and facilitate amendments (as required).

- Assess job complexity, determine job readiness requirements, and progress job in a timely manner.

- Establish and maintain effective links with teams in Design & Customer Programs, Electricity Networks and Works Program Delivery.

- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that enhance construction delivery and business outcomes.

- Raise Switching Register Requests (SRR) and Planned Outage Notification (PON) for jobs (as required).

- Serve as a point of escalation for complex enquiries, escalated complaints or exceptions and actively resolve directly or in conjunction with members of the team.

- Support ongoing compliance and implementation of new procedures and practices within the team.

- Actively participate and contribute to improvement of team health and safety practices and processes.

To be successful in this position you will have:

- Cert III of ESI Power Systems/Associate Diploma of Electrical Engineering/Certificate 3 in Electrical Distribution or equivalent tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated work experience in a similar type of role.

- Authorised applicant for network access within in the Switching Request Register system.

- Experience and knowledge of distribution construction practices, processes and relevant regulatory and compliance codes.

- Experience and knowledge of assets, design and work practices and relevant regulatory and compliance codes.

- Previous significant, relevant experience in the electrical industry highly regarded.

- Experience in assessing detailed material requirements for construction projects.
