Chandler Macleod are seeking qualified carpenters for one our NSW Government Clients based in Wagga Wagga working on a bridge project.

This position is for an immediate start with an expected length of approximately 6 months with the possibility of extension for the right fit. The successful candidate will be available to work away from home Monday to Friday each week completing 40 hours per week. In return, an attractive minimum base casual rate of $41.75 p/hr plus superannuation plus penalties and allowances.

The Carpenter will be responsible for:

  • General cleaning and sweeping of bridges and culverts
  • General painting of concrete, timber and steel structures
  • Housekeeping of site tool sheds and trailers
  • Formwork and falsework for concrete bridge elements, kerbs, end posts, topping slabs, wing walls and base slabs
  • Chainsaw and adze work on large timber bridge elements - girders, piers, kerbs
  • Steel fixing
  • Bolting of steel bridge components

    Candidates will have:
  • Carpenter qualifications
  • Current drivers licence (essential)
  • Current white card (essential)
