Our client a well known government agency is currently seeking an experienced Compliance Inspection Officer to conduct site inspections to assess contract compliance in the delivery of maintenance to both vacant and occupied properties.

As the Compliance Inspection Officer your activities may include assessment of work standards, materials and completeness as well as data analysis to assist in identifying trends in work practices and work order claims.

In order to be considered for this role you will possess the following capabilities and requirements:

  • Ability to interpret building maintenance contracts, specifications, codes and applicable standards and apply to site inspections.
  • Sound communication and negotiation skills.
  • Sound IT skills eg email, Microsoft office (esp excel) and ability to learn specific software programs.
  • Relevant Qualifications or accreditation in Quality Management principles and associated Australian Quality Standards or relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of the Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government or commercial probity and contracting standards.
  • Relevant qualification and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards.
  • Experience in compliance inspections of building essential services is viewed as favourable
  • Current driver's license.
