Our client is seeking to engage a Compensation and Benefits Manager on a contract for 9 months.

Position Overview

The Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for the management of the company's Total Rewards programs for Australia and New Zealand. The individual should have prior experience managing Total Rewards within the region along with strong knowledge of plan administration and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical benefits and compensation knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to effectively partner with internal stakeholders within Global Human Resources, Finance and Procurement. The individual must have the ability to think critically and work effectively in a matrix organization. Specific responsibilities include:


  • Annual benefits benchmarking, costing and recommendations
  • Annual review and renewals for benefits programs
  • Program management of benefits including employee comms and resources, financials, vendor management
  • Drive regional implementation of global initiatives eg family care leave, Benefex, Retirement governance
  • New benefit and vendor RFPs and implementations
  • Tier 3 employee query case management
  • Monitor and ensure ongoing legal compliance for benefits and leave policies
  • Support transition and integration for M&As
  • Manage leave policies and partner with ES Ops to ensure correct configuration in Workday
  • Oversee insurance claims and status of workers compensation policies
  • Support transition of relevant work to ESS

Immigration and Mobility

  • Maintain local policies and documentation in line with legislative changes and business philosophy
  • Manage escalations and act as local point of contact for employees and business as required
  • Partner with external counsel to maintain sponsorship status
  • Drive regional implementation of global initiatives eg tracking visa status in Workday


  • Drive completion of annual programs (stock, kokua, merit, G4G, equitas)
  • Annual comp benchmarking survey, review and implementation
  • Help to build ranges, resolve issues and provide comp recommendations
  • Develop Futureforce comp model
  • Manage on-call policy
  • Partner with, support and educate ESBPs
  • Deliver training to business as required
