Our Federal Government client supports a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. The client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the federal governments disability scheme.

About the role:
An unparalleled opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking individual to help shape and lead an engaging communication and events strategy for a Federal Government department that makes genuine positive impacts in peoples' lives. You will design and implement innovative strategies to using multi-channel content approaches integrated with tailored community event planning to achieve enormous positive influence on the lives of people living with disability.

Key Duties:

  • Working across the branch and with other business areas to support a strategic and proactive events strategy and associated logistics, driving nationally consistent, locally tailored event solutions to support increased awareness and understanding of the Department in the community.
  • Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the Department's participation in a diverse range of small and large scale events, including information sessions, forums, conferences and webinars.
  • Producing content for a variety of channels including the Department's website, Ministerial and Executive Briefings, event materials, social media and other communication platforms.

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive understanding of communications planning and execution using multi-channel approaches involving internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of execution within communications and event management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Tertiary Qualifications within a relevant disciple is desirable but not essential.
