Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Communications Officer on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Under limited direction, coordinate content, approvals, and dissemination of the Deputy Secretary's weekly communication - Exec Connect.
  • Deliver content for HPRG internal communication needs including the HPRG weekly, ad hoc all staff emails, intranet news items and intranet pages.
  • Deliver content for HPRG external communication needs, such as content for the department social media channels.
  • Develop content to populate the monthly proactive social media schedule in collaboration with social media team members.
  • Undertake social media reporting on hot topics in line with business requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to internal enquiries via the dedicated email inbox in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Contribute to the organisation's broader communication activities as required.
  • Provide administrative support for digital advertising campaigns and the delivery of regulatory education projects.
  • Contribute to other team functions as needed

Skills & Experience:

  • A degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, media or similar.
  • Experience in a communications or similar role.
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise workload according to team needs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to take responsibility for managing individual tasks seeing work through to completion.
  • The ability to build and sustain positive relationships with colleagues and clients, remaining responsive to change in needs.
  • Communicates clearly with the capability to present information in a clear and concise manner using appropriate language to ensure clarity.
  • The ability to listen and consider different ideas and discuss issues thoughtfully.
