Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS 6 Communication and Engagement Officer on a contract until December 2020, with potential extensions of 12 months.

Position Overview

The role is for an enthusiastic person to assist with managing our internal and external communications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication and engagement frameworks.
  • High-level stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and communicate, liaise and build productive relationships with a wide range of people to achieve common goals.
  • Write, edit and deliver communication products for a variety of audiences, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Other Adhoc duties as required.

Selection Criteria:

  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills to manage work activities to meet performance expectations and team outcomes.
  • The ability to prioritise conflicting needs and execute multiple tasks efficiently and within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise, negotiate and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven strategic whole picture thinking and leadership experience in designing and delivering communication plans.
  • The ability to navigate sensitive information with tact and integrity in a sometimes ambiguous and demanding environment.
