Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Communications and Change Manager on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.
Position Overview
The Communications and Change Manager will have experience and knowledge to provide the following services:
- Create and manage communication material and project documentation including the Change Management Plan;
- Support stakeholder engagement to ensure project objectives are aligned and benefits are realised;
- Implement change and manage stakeholder communications;
- Design and develop business templates and dashboards to meet reporting requirements delivered through new business system;
- Create and manage training material and run stakeholder training;
- Run project change activities including ongoing change readiness assessments and incorporate feedback into ongoing change plans to monitor and report change taking effect;
- Experience in applying Change Management Methodology such as Prosci / ADKAR in large-scale organisations;
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation and support the Project Manager, Business Owners and Change Sponsors;
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others;
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle and change management;
- Excellent active listening skills;
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences;
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships;
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal;
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations;
- Forward looking with a holistic approach;
- Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics; and
- Problem solving and root cause identification skills
Qualifications
- Communication & change management qualifications highly desirable;
- Supported the successful delivery of communications and organisational change in a major business transformation;
- Technical writing qualifications desirable ;and
- User Training qualifications desirable
General attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively individually or within a team environment;
- The ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Please note: a minimum of 5 years vetting experience is desirable.
