Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Communications and Change Manager on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.

Position Overview

The Communications and Change Manager will have experience and knowledge to provide the following services:

  • Create and manage communication material and project documentation including the Change Management Plan;
  • Support stakeholder engagement to ensure project objectives are aligned and benefits are realised;
  • Implement change and manage stakeholder communications;
  • Design and develop business templates and dashboards to meet reporting requirements delivered through new business system;
  • Create and manage training material and run stakeholder training;
  • Run project change activities including ongoing change readiness assessments and incorporate feedback into ongoing change plans to monitor and report change taking effect;
  • Experience in applying Change Management Methodology such as Prosci / ADKAR in large-scale organisations;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation and support the Project Manager, Business Owners and Change Sponsors;
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others;
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle and change management;
  • Excellent active listening skills;
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences;
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships;
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal;
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations;
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach;
  • Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics; and
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills


  • Communication & change management qualifications highly desirable;
  • Supported the successful delivery of communications and organisational change in a major business transformation;
  • Technical writing qualifications desirable ;and
  • User Training qualifications desirable

  • Ability to work effectively individually or within a team environment;
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Please note: a minimum of 5 years vetting experience is desirable.
