CNC Machinist

Location: Bayswater, Perth
Type of Contract: Permanent
Afternoon shift 2:15PM- 12:45AM Monday to Thursday
4x10 hour afternoons.

The successful candidate will work as part of a small, efficient team of qualified CNC Machinists in our Perth team, Western Australia. This position may be required to work a shift roster.

The successful candidate will be running CNC Lathes and Mills in our fully equipped workshop. This position may not suit individuals who are used to a mass production environment.

The principal accountabilities are:

 Must have Australian unlimited working rights
 You are required to have a Proven CNC programming capability
 Operation and setting of CNC machines ensuring correct manufacturing techniques along with correct tool selection to provide a quality product to maximise run times.
 Ability to work unsupervised is essential.
 Reading and understand engineering drawings
 First Level inspection
 Deliver all activities consistent with Peak and Schlumberger's QHSE expectations, ensuring safety and quality are a priority
 Manufacture of production and prototype components
 Achieving targets in respect of output and quality
 Provide training and mentoring to other personnel as required
 Maintain a high standard of 5S and take pride in your working environment
 Ensure all processes, procedures and documentation are followed within the machining centre

Criteria:

 Qualified CNC Machinist with 1st Class Trade Papers
 Extensive experience as a CNC Machinist for both Turning & Milling machines preferably with Fanuc, Okuma OSP & HAAS control systems to manufacture complex parts from all types of materials.
 Experienced in reading and writing programs in ISO (G-Code) and using conversational software
 Experience with Fanuc manual I-Guide (Doosan EZ Guide)
 Excellent mechanical aptitude
 Capable of reading and understanding comprehensive engineering drawings
 Experience with small and one-off batch runs, varying run-times, and a large product portfolio
 High level inspection skills using measuring equipment
 Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
 Good computer skills
 Professional attitude, reliable, punctual with a proven work ethic
 Team player, self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised while clearly executing instructions.
