We are currently recruiting for a Client Service Officer (Tenancy) for our client, a Community Housing organisation based in Katoomba on a temporary basis for 3 months with a view to extend.

As the Client Service Officer (Tenancy), your duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting sign ups of tenancies, explaining the conditions of the tenancy in accordance with policies and the Residential Tenancies Act
  • Liaising with Real Estate Agents and/or landlords in relation to proposed market rent increases and administer market rent increases for leasehold tenants
  • Representing at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) where required
  • Addressing issues relating to breaches of tenancy agreements to achieve resolution
  • Maintaining working relationships with other community support/service providers and refer tenants to other services where appropriate
  • Managing all tenancy matters for a property portfolio

    Essential Criteria
  • Understanding of housing issues facing people with particular needs
  • Previous experience of working at FACS, Community Housing or private real estate
  • Knowledge of policy and legislation applying to social housing
  • Previous NCAT experience would be highly desirable
  • A NSW driving license
