One of our clients, a well-known entity in the Western Australian Mining Industry, is seeking the services of an experienced Civil Technician to join the Chandler Macleod Team on their Port Hedland Sites.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
  • Work management functions, time confirmations, attaching documents/photos/scope sheets/workplace inspections etc.
  • Initiating and or participating in continuous improvement projects for the team, department and site (along with improvements in daily works).
  • Execute and assist with road repairs and road maintenance (including installation of traffic signs, pot hole repairs, line-marking, backfill activities and road stabilisation).
  • General Labouring duties.
  • Providing Traffic Management/Control for various jobs around site.
  • Spotting of/or operating earthwork/civil machinery such as bobcat, backhoe, forklift, excavator, roller or grader (applicants with one or more type of experience/tickets is preferred).
  • Carrying out all activities within the job scope, including pre-work, preparation of JHAs, organising materials, execution, verification and completion of tasks.
  • Ensure compliance to the company process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the system.

    Preferred skills.
  • Mandatory C Class Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience using 1SAP/Fiori.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and autonomously as the need requires.
  • Site Experience or able to be adaptable to different work areas and expectations
  • Desirable qualifications include: working at heights, EWP, HR, SME tickets (forklift, backhoe, excavator, roller).
