Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Change and Communications Officer on a contract for 12 months with potential extension for 12 months.
Position Overview
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support the Program Manager & Project Manager in delivering change support across stakeholders of the PPT project and the agency.
  • Provide change management expertise to facilitate the business areas to identify impact, transition plans and actions needed, to mitigate the impact of change on people both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate change-focused communications strategies and plans, and provide senior staff and change leaders with the support to champion and communicate the anticipated changes.
  • Develop and maintain Benefits Realisation Plan and collaborate extensively with stakeholders to capture defined, measurable project benefits.
  • Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Make and communicate decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
  • Engage with the agency’s Enterprise Change Management Office (ECMO) to ensure project alignment with whole-of-agency communications and change approach.
  • Create content in line with communications action plans.
  • Work closely with the project team, ECMO, the National Training & Education Unit and the communications team to develop the necessary products and tools to ensure the changes are implemented effectively.
  • Develop content in line with requirements such as user documentation, intranet pages, documentation for a help desk, in system text, etc.
  • Other duties as directed.
