Our client, a leading resources company who brings a global presence is currently seeking a Category Specialist to provide procurement advice and support to its key stakeholders within the area of Maintenance Services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing contractual support and procurement support to the business
  • Deliver value by sourcing competitively
  • Build strong supplier relationships
  • Regular review of requirements
  • Risk assessment
  • Tender evaluation
  • Negotiations
  • Contract life cycle support across commercial and contractual areas


About you:

  • Sound background in procurement and contracts management ideally within a mining environment
  • Tender submissions and making recommendations to award
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Project management experience to time and budget
  • Tertiary qualifications ion business or supply chain
  • A Bachelors or masters degree in Business, commerce, Law or similar is desirable
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
