About the role
We are partnering with a WA renowned organisation to secure the services of an experienced Capital Works Project Engineer to coordinate Asset Owner led teams and provide project management expertise to ensure the safe and successful delivery of engineering capital projects at the their South West mines.

The role will assist in managing various assigned construction projects as part of a variable capital programme. The successful performance of this role will ensure appropriate control of the mine's capital funding as well as timely and cost-effective delivery of all project works to meet desired business outcomes.

This assignment will cover a period of 6 months, on a Monday - Friday roster, with possibility of full-time at the conclusion of the contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Project Planning and Approvals
  • Project Delivery, Control and Closure
  • Capital Plan Monitoring, Forecasting & Reporting
  • Project Procedures

To be successful in this role, you will require the following work experience:

  • 2 - 6 years of experience in an engineering field | experience in the mining, construction or heavy industry areas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills coupled to previous engineering supervisory experience.
  • Business and customer focus perspective and an appreciation of engineering alliance type relationships.
  • Previous experience in project and/or contractor management, cost tracking, scheduling, budgeting and forecasting.

Ideal candidates must also hold the following prerequisites:

  • Engineering or Construction Management Degree
  • Project or Construction Management Degree (with relevant industry experience)
  • Provide a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide a current Drivers Licence
