Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Capability Project Officer on a contract for 6 months.

About the Role:

The APS5 Capability Project Officer is responsible for providing support to the My Aged Care Capability Section in the implementation of reform activities, undertaking general reporting, project management and administration duties

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement new policy proposals, including contributing to consultation documentation and implementation plans.
  • Prepare and distribute stakeholder Communications.
  • Contribute to the program/project management and administrative activities of the section.
  • Assist in the development of briefs, correspondence, meeting papers and maintenance of project documents.
  • Assist in documenting and implementing the outcomes of research and program reporting to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in reviewing and developing training material
  • Provide secretariat support as required.

Key Capabilities:

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure positive consumer outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Experience in managing information, maintaining documents and records management.
  • An understanding of policy, program and/or project management.
  • Ability to use and synthesise information from diverse sources in the development of evidence-based advice.
  • Able to work as a member of the team to prioritise and effectively manage competing priorities.
