Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Communication and Secretariat Skills on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

Position Overview

You will be able to operate under broad direction, working with discretion, integrity, and accountability. You will understand the importance of effective teamwork and be able to establish and maintain networks and actively assist in managing key stakeholder relationships.

You will have strong program/project support experience and work closely with the Business Coordinator and Program Change Manager to provide communication products, including diagrams and other graphics, to be used in change management strategies, plans, updated business processes, and organisation structures. Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and graphic skills are integral to this role.

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration - Have a track record in delivering communication products to support organisational change.
  • Lead change management activities - Conduct workshops and other activities as directed to support adoption of the changes required by the business.
  • Support communication and coordination efforts - Support the design, development, delivery of communications products including written and visual or graphic elements.
  • Track and report progress - Ensure meeting are effectively organised and minuted. Maintain records and provide regular updates, both verbal and written to senior stakeholders.
  • Results - Set priorities and ensure quality of outputs for the work area.
  • Planning - Develop objectives for short-term tasks and contribute to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.

Key Duties

  • Assist with the coordination of a range of project and business activities;
  • Consult with and facilitate workshops with business sections/teams;
  • Develop high quality communication products, including diagrams and other graphics to be used to document new business processes and changes; and
  • Support and engage senior leaders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences;
  • Graphic/presentation skills - develop pictorial diagrams and info graphs;
  • Secretariat skills - take meeting minutes/support the governance of this ongoing activity;
  • The ability to assist in the development and implementation of policies, processes, guidelines, and other resources that deliver business outcomes;
  • Organised with an ability to plan and think strategically; and
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.

Security Clearance

Clearance Level: "Negative Vetting Level 1 (minimum) with ability to upgrade to, and maintain, Negative Vetting Level 2".
