Chandler Macleod is working with a leading organisation who currently have an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Business Sales Executive for a temp to permanent position. This position will be 38 hours per week.

The purpose of the 'Business Sales Executive - Electricity', is to drive the acquisition activity of new business customers for electricity supply. The key responsibility of the role is to identify, prospect and generate new leads, develop quality business and industry relationships, and to convert them into commercial realities.


Key responsibilities:

  • Direct prospecting with large business clients, via phone and 'face-to-face'
  • Maintaining a planned and disciplined approach to executing the sales process, including documented planning and analysis, prospecting and building a pipeline, designing and presenting proposals, executing on an internal approval process, negotiation of commercial contract terms, through to contract execution, and handover for ongoing account management
  • Capturing customer feedback on the sales experience in order to continually enhance the companies electricity offering
  • A WA state-based focus, covering the available supply areas.


    Skills required:
  • Two to five years' experience in acquisition sales, field-based sales or business development experience, with attention to quality sales process execution
  • A demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in an intensely competitive environment
  • Experience in energy sales or technical sales in industries with similar market dynamics, regulatory focus, and/or competitiveness
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills (verbal & written), including a sufficiently wide range of styles to address customers of varying sophistication as well as an ability to communicate technically complex concepts in a manner easily understood
  • Ability to build and communicate an understanding of a deal from the perspectives of both the buyer and the seller
