Chandler Macleod have an upcoming 12-month temporary assignment with our Federal Government client for an experienced Business Intelligence & Visualisation Lead. This assignment is conveniently located in the CBD and on a Monday to Friday roster, full time hours with possible overtime.


We are seeking experienced and highly motivated analysts to join various teams across our Visual Analytic and Transformation branch.

As a Business Intelligence and Visualisation Analyst, in Smarter Data Program, you will work as part of a team to support the delivery of insights through business intelligence, visual analytic, data analysis and reporting for organisational, government or client service decisions and actions. You will support the design, development and implementation of critical business intelligence initiatives and projects, while contributing to developing business insights.

You'll use your sound communication skills to engage with key stakeholders and delivery partners to provide leading edge data and analytic solutions. This may include designing and delivering data dashboard interfaces, supporting project implementation and resolving issues.

Your hands on background in UI/UX design and user centric approach will support a positive end to end experience through deliverable such as wireframes, prototypes and visuals that engender data insights activation.


  • Has experience delivering and supporting business intelligence life cycle projects and visual analytic solutions

Has working experience in the following:

- Data or dimensional modelling through to data visusalisation using a range of database technologies such as MC SQL, Teradata and Spark

- Visualisation softwares such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BL and Qlik

- Programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, R and/or Python to extract, transform, load, manipulate and visualise data at scale

  • Can design and deliver a positive user experience, distilling complex data and information flows into simple and meaningful user interfaces, infographics and visual analytics solutions
  • Collaborates with users and stakeholders to develop, test and document data flow processes, data and analysis pathways and data workflow maps
  • Works effectively within multidisciplinary teams of specialist information, data, IT professionals and subject matter experts.
