As a result, we are looking to fill the role of Solar and Renewable Energy Sales Consultant.

This role is focused on the commercial, industrial and agriculture sectors, and works closely with our engineering, operations and administration teams to ensure great results for our customers.

We're looking for an experienced sales consultant, ready to step up and join our NSW team. This role will suit someone who will enjoy a fun, fast-moving environment with the opportunity to solve problems and make a difference.

You'll be working to find opportunities to help commercial, industrial, government and residential customers reap the benefits of solar power and battery solutions.

Although based at our Coffs Harbour depot, you'll be looking for renewable energy projects across the state. We have a special interest in regional, rural and remote systems, as well as solar farms and other more conventional projects.

You'll have a strong design team behind you, and full training will be provided, so you don't need to be from the solar industry to succeed in this role, but it would help you hit the ground running.

What you will need is a strong understanding of the needs of your clients, the ability to gather their requirements, and the skill in working with the team to come up with brilliant solutions for their power problems.

This requires the ability to generate new relationships, and use your network to gain introductions to other prospective clients. We do great work - you'll be able to recommend our excellent operational team with confidence.

Solar experience will be considered, but the ability to generate opportunities and sell consultative solutions to businesses and other organisations is far more important.

You'll also be given all the necessary tools including a fully maintained company vehicle, laptop and phone. Remuneration would be a mix of a high base plus a share of project profits. On target earnings would be in the $90 to $110k range, with the potential to earn more from large projects.
Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate, but you will need:

  • To be an experienced, effective sales consultant, ideally with B2B experience
  • To be self-driven and able to gather help from the team as needed
  • To be able to understand the benefits of technical solutions
  • To be resilient in the face of competing priorities
  • To be keen to work across our business to improve how we do things
  • To have good customer service skills
  • To have excellent communication skills
  • To show a proactive, upbeat approach to problem-solving

  • A passion for solar energy and sustainability will help you enjoy every day
  • Experience in a technical, trade-related or capital intensive industry would be highly regarded, but not essential
