Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage some Business Analysts on a contract for 10 months with potential extension.

The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:

  • Working in collaboration with multiple ICT project teams in order to deliver the business requirements for authentication and access processes for various systems;
  • Working in a section with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the requirements;
  • Meeting with decision makers, systems owners, other Business Analysts, technical stakeholders and end users to define business requirements, and system goals;
  • Creating models, use cases, process flows, diagrams and requirements specifications, to provide direction and support to projects;
  • Reviewing and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and assisting with developing strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems;
  • Creating business requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis;
  • Conducting walkthrough and showcases on the prepared requirements specifications with internal and external stakeholders in order to gain endorsements on the requirements, identifying, validating and defining cyber services for client agencies;
  • Undertaking gap analysis of service requirements against existing business processes, capabilities and technologies;
  • Ensuring the design and delivery of services aligns with the expectations set by the Hardening Government IT (HGIT) Initiative and Cyber Hub Program;
  • Drawing the connection between business requirements, ICT capability and processes.

Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department's recordkeeping policy and practices.

The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:

  • Business requirements documents;
  • Functional requirements documents;
  • Use cases;
  • System Diagrams.
