Our client is seeking to engage a Business Analyst within their team. This is a permanent Role.

Position Overview

Our Client is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Study Delivery Team (SDT) for the 2021 UK Study. The role is a development opportunity for an individual with knowledge of the UK water industry. The intention is to provide in-country support to UK participants in their own time zone to facilitate information exchange and facilitate smooth running of the Study to meet agreed timelines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Becoming conversant with the benchmarking documents, method and processes
  • Taking an active role as part of the Working Group to identify differences between the Australian and UK industry in terms of the value chain cost categories and definitions and scaling factors (normalisers) and how these may be adapted for the Study
  • Being first point of contact for UK participants for benchmarking queries
  • Working closely with the SDT, engage with UK participants to provide support and information and to resolve definitional and data-related issues to enable project milestones to be met
  • Co-ordinating UK meetings and discussion sessions between UK participants and the SDT
  • Liaising with the SDT to ensure consistency in study approach across participants, identifying issues early for discussion and resolution
  • In line with agreed Study processes, work with the SDT to review and quality assure utility data submissions for format and completeness eg General Ledger, cost allocations
  • Work with the SDT to provide documentation, presentations and carry out data analysis as required.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Accounting knowledge/experience would be an advantage
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to customer service
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and comfortable dealing with large datasets in Excel
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team across international time zones and build successful relationships with project stakeholders through online communication
  • Ability to achieve outcomes in a timely manner through influencing others without direct authority.
