Our client is a large Government department in Brisbane CBD who require a Business Analyst until the 31st of June 2022 to assist in the delivery of a new ticketing project.

About the role:

In the position of Business Analyst, you will be apart of a program team that will over see 80 go-live events across a 2-year period. Working in a complex environment, you will be engaging with a Supplier and providing advice to the program to assist with identifying the business requirements and business processes.

Role duties will include:

  • Review the current "As Is" situation and Supplier documentation and develop the Change Impact Assessment which defines the scope of business change activities to transition to the "To Be" situation.
  • Assist in the development of the business transition roadmap and underpinning work packages which support the business in transitioning their organisations to the To Be situation.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to identify and gather business requirements; development of business requirement documents, including reporting requirements.
  • Engage with the Supplier and provide expert business process advice to the program in business process design reviews.
  • Engage with business areas to identify business requirements and develop the business processes which will integrate with vendor business processes.
  • Analyse underlying issues or problems and identifies innovative options for consideration.
  • Prepares reports, option papers and recommendations for management consideration.
  • Arrange, prepare and take part in business stakeholder meetings and present issues and solutions.
  • Engage in the planning, preparation and execution of end-to-end testing activities, spanning across Vendor, Operators and the Regional Operators as required.
  • Contribute to go live planning and provide support to cut over and post go live events.

Skills required:

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst working in complex programs made up of numerous projects
  • Demonstrate communication skills, with the ability to produce high quality written documentation, including process maps, business concepts, options papers and reports and articulation of information clearly via meetings, presentations and workshops.
  • Ability to overcome significant obstacles and retaining to clear focus on priorities; applying agile problem solving skills and techniques that respect the need for clear accountability and regular reporting to support effective governance.
