We are currently recruiting for a Building Maintenance Technician for our client, a NSW Government agency, based in Sydney CBD on an initial 6-12 month contract with possibility of extension. Pay rate of $425 per day + super as a contractor or up to $92,536 + super if employed directly.

The Building Technician is responsible for performing building operation tasks necessary for the upkeep and preservation of the building and its precincts. This includes a diverse range of maintenance activities necessary to allow the safety and comfort of the building occupants to enable the operation of the building.

Assist in the effective upkeep of the buildings and assets through the Inspection, operation, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs of the:
  • HVAC and BMCS and Hydraulic systems
  • Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Systems
  • Roller Doors, Automatic Doors and Security Doors
  • Liaise with service providers and suppliers and monitor maintenance expenditure
  • Ensure the working are is safe and without risk to employees

Candidate Requirements:
  • Recognised trade certificate, preferably in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration or air conditioning is essential
  • At least 2 years experience of a similar role in a commercial building setting
  • Pro-active and solutions focused mindset
  • Confident communication skills and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders if required

You will be working on a rotating roster between 7.00am - 6.00pm and will be required to remain on site after hours on occasion. Overtime is paid for any hours worked after 6pm.
