We are seeking a passionate Branch Manager who can raise the profile and advocate for the growth for the Arts, Tourism and Events in Bundaberg.

Reporting to a General Manager, this position will identify and drive new business opportunities, provide strategic leadership and financial management. Helping to realise these goals will be 5 direct and 40 indirect reports with the majority based in Bundaberg. The primary responsibilities this role will focus on are:

Provide high level strategic direction to Council and Executive Leadership Team on:

  • Operation of Moncrieff Entertainment Centre
  • Operation of Council Galleries
  • Operation Multiplex Sport & Convention Centre
  • Investment maximisation strategies
  • Operation of Council tourist facilities
  • Delivery of community events to maximise value
  • Drive community wide cultural awareness and indigenous engagement program
  • Developing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholder groups - peak bodies, associated organisations, etc

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Previous experience in a Branch or Operational Management position
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on financial budgets, strategic and business planning objectives
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and true passion for continuous improvement
