Chandler Macleod has fantastic opportunities available working for one of Australia’s leading Bus manufacturers located in Dandenong, VIC. Due to current growth they are seeking staff  for an ongoing opportunity on a 9-day fortnight.

The Opportunity:
We are looking for reliable workers with an excellent work ethic and ongoing availability for a Boilermaker/Assembler/Welder role. Applicants with experience within a similar industry such as trucks, trains, boats or caravans are encouraged to apply. You will need to be physical fit as some heavy lifting with heavy power tools is required in some of the areas.

Qualities that we are looking for:
  • Strong team player who can work in a dynamic and diverse work environment
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experienced with a range of tools including power, pneumatic and welding
  • Good physical fitness - you will be working on your feet and climbing in and out of buses
  • Reliability - you are part of a team that will rely on you to not let them down.
  • Trade Qualifications are desired but not essential

Tasks include:
  • Constructing framework using machinery and hand/power tools
  • Cutting and shaping panels to be attached to the framework
  • Vehicle modifications as per requirements
  • Preparing, modifying and installing vehicle trimming
  • Reading and interpreting drawings

You will also be required to supply checkable phone references and participate in a pre-employment medical prior to commencement in these positions which will also include drug/alcohol testing.

Typical Hours of work: Day shift; 6.30am - 3:27pm Monday to Friday (9-day fortnight – RDO every 2nd Friday)
Rates: from $39 + per hour (higher if trade qualified)
