As a Behaviour Therapist, you will support NDIS participants, families and Support Workers by behaviour assessment then development and implementation of specific behaviour support plans for NDIS participants. You will also provide training and support in behaviour strategies and procedures to family members and Support Workers who are assisting the NDIS participants. In this role you will be expected to work both autonomously and as part of our team.
Service Delivery:

  • Behaviour assessment with the participants
  • Development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including supporting/training caregivers to implement strategies in the plan.
  • Providing therapy to NDIS participants and families and training in therapeutic behaviour support to caregivers.
  • Complete reports and work towards goals within NDIS plans
  • Actively participate in professional development and ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to the resolution of complex situations that may involve negotiation with multiple service providers.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and ability to complete work with minimal direction.
  • Coordinate treatment with other healthcare professionals as required
  • Record, maintain and provide accurate, timely documentation of patient treatment and progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients in adherence to legislative requirements and guidelines. Establish, build & maintain relationships with external key stakeholders
  • Engage with community to identify service delivery opportunities
  • Respect client and staff confidentiality


1. Experience in conducting comprehensive behaviour assessments and developing plans for NDIS participants
2. Tertiary qualifications in Psychology
3. Current unconditional membership with AHPRA
4. Current Police check (not more than 3 months old)
5. Working with Children Check (NSW).
6. Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
7. Blue Card & Yellow Card (QLD)
8. An understanding of NDIS and completion certificate to prove that you have completed Worker Orientation Module designed by NDIS Quality and Safeguards commission
9. Proven ability to work individually and as part of a team to motivate, support and communicate effectively with people who are at risk of harm and/or exhibiting challenging behaviors.
10. Ability to drive to client meetings, with remuneration for travel costs provided.
11. A current driver license and a car with comprehensive care insurance
