Chandler Macleod have an upcoming temporary assignment with our State Government client for an Audit and Correspondence Officer. This assignment is conveniently located in the CBD and on a Monday to Friday roster, full time hours with possible overtime.

This is a casual contract position for the period of 1st March 2021 till 30th June 2021.

The Audit and Compliance Officer will be assisting the licensing team with audits, assessing the compliance of licensees against the terms and conditions of their licence and the various service standards that apply to the relevant industry - e.g. water or energy.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience in conducting audits or investigations
  • Experience in interpreting and applying legislation and regulatory instruments
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and logical manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a culture of teamwork
  • Ability to work with limited direction, cope with high volumes of work and organise activities to provide efficient services
  • Proven ability to take initiative and use judgement
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office or similar, inclusive of email, word processing, spreadsheet and databases
  • Experience in using the internet to source information
  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures and systems
