Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Assistant Manager Regulatory & Assessments on a contract till end of April 2021, with potential extension.

Position Overview
Key duties/tasks
1. Supervise and ensure quality outputs from a team performing regulatory roles, and assist in strategic planning, program and project management and/or policy development for the section.
2. Ensure assessments are conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (including work instructions and assessment tools) that reflect legislative requirements and relevant risk management frameworks.
3. Liaise, negotiate with and educate internal/external stakeholders and clients to improve scheme understanding, including compliance with scheme obligations.
4. Ensure identified non-compliance is addressed consistently, and in accordance with relevant assessment and agency frameworks.
5. Ensure IT project management systems enable efficient scheme administration in accordance with legislative requirements, including contributing to system development and enhancement, through liaison with relevant internal stakeholders.
6. Make authorised decisions in accordance with agreed criteria.
7. Lead the analysis and development of solutions for complex assessment issues.
8. Apply comprehensive work knowledge, precedent and established legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines to situations involving a high level of complexity and sensitivity which require considerable interpretation and analysis.
9. Take responsibility for the achievements of own and team outcomes, monitor progress and follow through to deliver quality outcomes.

Mandatory Requirements:
The successful candidate will be required to have (or be able to obtain and maintain) Baseline clearance.
