Our client is an independent agency of Federal Government, this major agency enables a scheme that supports Australians with costs associated to disability.

About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experience and senior strategy professional who is seeking their next step in their career. As an Assistant Director you will exercise sound decision making skills as the duties you will undertake are of a high level of complexity that has strategic, political and operational significance. You will be responsible for analysis and insight development to contribute to strategy development, policies, priorities and operational activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Consult and work in cross functional teams to scope problems, structure issues, conduct analyses, create insight and communicate findings leading to action
  • Collaborate to provide strategic insight with a range of internal stakeholders
  • Shake and improve recommendations on a range of issues
  • Engage with senior leaders and executives to structure problems and shape recommendations
  • Lead and develop fact-based quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendations
  • Lead creation of materials for the board, minister and executive team to communicate perspectives, recommendations and implications

About you:

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in strategy development within a Tier 1 strategy firm. In addition to this, you will also:

  • Previous experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Relevant qualifications in Policy, Public Policy, Economics
  • Demonstrated experience with significant contribution to strategic projects delivering insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working in and leading complex cross-functional teams
  • Established personal tool-kit to deal with organisational complexity and ambiguity
  • Emotional intelligence in engaging with stakeholders and leaders at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and provide written reports through to the board
  • A strong sense of professionalism whilst dealing with sensitive information
  • Experience living with disability desireable
