This is an exciting position for an experienced Assistant Director to lead a Communications team within a busy Federal Government agency.

About the role:

  • You will be responsible for a team and will have authority and responsibility to solve issues and risks
  • You will be responsible for high profile projects
  • You will be representing the agency in stakeholder meetings
  • You will be responsible for the support and drive of projects relating to behavioural change through communications and engagement with stakeholders
  • You will be supporting the development and delivery of plans
  • You will be contributing to the project management team with forecasting, planning, and reporting
  • You will be developing and wide range of communication materials including articles, web content and PowerPoint presentations

About you:

  • You will ideally have previous experience in a management or operational role
  • You will have strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • You will have excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • You will have good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • You will have the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment

Benefits:

  • ASAP start date (pending Federal Police Clearance)
  • 12-month temporary assignment
  • Full time hours Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day

  • $585 per day + super
