About the Organisation:
Our client is an independent agency of Federal Government, they support the enablement of a scheme that supports Australians with costs associated to disability.

About the Role:
As an EL1 Assistant Director, you will work collaboratively with the senior management team to create, improve, and implement internal and external communication and engagement strategies on behalf of the agency. You will lead a team as a senior member to ensure the consistent delivery of strategies is met and rolled out in a timely manner. This role will have considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues and liaison with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering internal and external communication and engagement strategies
  • Drive nationally consistent, locally tailored event solutions to engage community
  • Managing the consistent delivery and continuous improvement of the communication and engagement channels
  • Consult with business units and internal stakeholders at all levels to provide communication and engagement strategies
  • Support a team to partner effectively with business units and ensure the content created are in line with strategies implemented and driven across the agency
  • Prepare and curate high-quality, clear written content on behalf of the team and agency
  • Identify and mitigate reputational risks
  • Analysing consultation, communications and engagement outcomes and leading discussions to drive continuous improvements for future activities

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Relevant qualifications in communications, PR, event management etc
  • In lieu of formal qualification, certificates, or significant demonstrated experience highly desired
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to produce content to be published on multiple platforms
  • High degree of professionalism, accuracy, and high standard of work
