Our State Government client is seeking to engage an Assistant Director, Change & Engagement on a contract for 3 months with potential extension of 3 Months.

About the Role:

The Assistant Director, Change & Engagement is responsible for managing a range of internal communications channels and their content, organizing and facilitating various employee engagement events and initiatives including delivery of a range of stakeholder and engagement support activities in support of large scale change projects underway across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Independently design, plan and drive multiple employee engagement and change related activities or programs of work to be delivered across the organisation, in an organised and efficient manner.
  • Organise, plan and facilitate workshops, forums and meetings with relevant stakeholders. These include large engagement forums.
  • Liaise with business units across Shared Services and more broadly across Government to coordinate and publish internal communications using primarily email, SharePoint, intranet and PowerPoint mediums.
  • Provide advice on and include in new program designs, knowledge of best practice engagement, communication and change management methodologies in order to drive adoption, usage and business value.
  • Constantly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and change activities, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating the dissemination of written and visual communication artefacts to drive engagement and improved business outcomes.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including a strong ability to effectively liaise, negotiate with and influence a range of key stakeholders and to adjust approach in an agile fashion, based on the target audience.
  • Ability to quickly synthesise new information and to learn new systems or ways of working to allow the preparation of communication materials, including interpretation of technical messages, for distribution to a variety of audiences.
  • Relevant qualifications in a communication discipline and/or change management and/or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.
