Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced accounting and finance professional to join our team in Barangaroo, NSW as an Assistant Finance & Accounting Manager.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in accounting position at a multinational company preferably in a US listed company; or 3-5 years of audit experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and experience in accounting ERP is preferred
  • Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy as well as ability to see the bigger picture
  • Ability to effectively prioritize to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment; has experience working within a fast paced, global organization
  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude can plan, organize, and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
  • Ability to translate and communicate complex accounting information to various audiences
  • Professional writing and Fluent in English and Mandarin
Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing monthly consolidating financial statements from subsidiaries (HK, Australia, US, China)
  • Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to support accurate and timely quarterly/annual SEC financial statement audit procedures under US GAAP
  • Managing AP cycle accounting
  • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Processing outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data on ERP
  • Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Understanding expense accounts and cost centres
  • Monitoring and communicating Close status, and ensuring all teams are on track with the Close calendar
  • Understanding and documenting statutory GAAP differences compared to US GAAP
  • Coordinating with external parties such as external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities when needed
  • Supporting and ensuring compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements, audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal
  • Other ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor
