We are currently recruiting for an Asset Manager for our client, a NSW Government agency located close to Sydney CBD. This is a full time, permanent role with a salary range of is $139 - $154k + super.

Reporting into the Senior Asset & Development Manager, This role plays a key part in overseeing the delivery of asset value, providing safe and efficient operations, maximising the asset's value, while fulfilling all regulatory and statutory obligations. This role will not require direct line manager of a team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain Asset Management plans
  • Establish pro-active, risk-based strategies and manage systems for assets managed, in order to baseline current asset condition/value and identify improvements.
  • Manage the 'whole of life' cycle of assets including delivery, commissioning, maintenance, repair, modification, replacement and decommission or disposal of physical and infrastructure assets
  • Deliver performance in all dimensions for assets including value, cost, integrity, and people. Identify and drive improved asset value opportunities plus also driving of opex and organisational savings/synergies.
  • Lead the efforts of operations, HSE, commercial and other support team members in formulating viable plans for the further development and successful operation of the assets managed versus set targets
  • Ensure that cost estimates and project schedules are robust.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years Asset Management experience
  • Experience with static assets such as buildings, pavements, utilities, fencing, lighting or similar.
  • Experience within Oil, Gas, Mining, Buildings or Civil/Infrastructure would be considered
  • In depth knowledge of asset management system, project delivery systems, development planning and project execution including construction, process, and commercial aspects
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills to build effective relationships
  • Sound knowledge of commercial contracts and contract negotiations.
