Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Systems Administrator  on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.

Position Overview

Duties & Responsibilities:

Specific duties include:
  • Assisting with the maintenance of Listed Medicines and Non-Prescription Medicines IT systems, including maintenance of the Listed Medicine validation database and administrative processing of applications for evaluation.
  • Overseeing the management of the Listed Medicines and Non-Prescription Medicines systems helpdesk and assisting internal and external stakeholders with technical and regulatory issues.
  • Liaising with departmental IT service providers to resolve issues.
  • Undertaking data analysis and preparing reports.
  • Overseeing quality assurance tasks associated with the branch’s online systems and data validation.
  • Identification and implementation of systems improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and assist with the updating of legislative instruments including ingredients and indications.
  • Assisting with project work across the Branch, including improving COMB’s capability to accurately report on our regulatory activities.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Understanding of Australian risk based regulatory framework for therapeutic goods
  • High level written and oral communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn software packages quickly and efficiently
Desirable:
  • Data analytics
  • Sound general knowledge of the role and functions of the Agency, in particular, complementary and OTC medicines.
  • Proficient in reporting tools such as Qlik, Power BI
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in procedural writing
Eligibility Requirements:
  • A National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 6 months) will be required for the successful candidate.
  • Australian Citizenship is essential.
