Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage APS6 Strategy Officer for a 12 month assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD
About the Team
The Strategy Branch develops and delivers highly complex and significant outcomes, projects and work programs that have strategic and operational impact to the Agency in delivering better experiences and outcomes for participants. It is responsible for addressing critical issues of Agency impact including leading Agency-wide teams and integrating multiple perspectives to solve Agency issues. The branch ensures priorities and solutions are transitioned into action, for delivery by the relevant implementation group.
About the Role
The APS6 Strategy Officer (Labour Hire) is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.
The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions.
The APS6 Strategy Officer (Labour Hire) is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA’s objectives to “build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme”.
The position will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It is required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch/division/NDIA.

- Minimum of two years in strategy development
- Experience contributing to strategic projects that deliver insightful and actionable recommendations
- Experience working in complex cross-functional teams
- Emotional intelligence in working with stakeholders
- Experience applying the above skillset in a disability service environment will be highly regarded
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Gathering and developing structured insights and recommendations to address complex problems within strategic projects.
- Developing fact based quantitative and qualitative analysis including modelling in Microsoft Excel.
- Drafting components of materials for senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister, Board and Executive Leadership Team to communicate perspectives, recommendations and implications for the Agency.
- Presenting recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of Agency stakeholders and leadership.
- Drafting content to embed change, including policy papers, guidance materials and action plans.

- APS6 $60.26 per day + super
- Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
- Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
