Chandler Macleod is currently recruiting for an experienced APS6 AND EL1 Business Analyst to join a leading Federal Government agency. This is an immediate start with a contract term of 12 months and based in Parramatta NSW.
Role description:

EL1 Business Analyst

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Identifying and documenting current business processes to create baseline understanding of current situation and processes.
• Creating and facilitating process design improvements by conducting business and systems process analysis.
• Providing program/stream level analysis and producing required analysis documentation.
• Providing expertise and supporting the Product Owner to elaborate user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps with the input from SMEs.
• Providing assistance to Product Owner with the use of internal systems.
• Evaluating effectiveness of proposed solutions and design.
• Leading transition of business requirements over to build teams for development.
• Supporting verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment to business requirements.

APS6 Business Analyst

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Producing reports, interpreting data and analysing results using standard statistical techniques.
• Coordinating divisional and branch reporting requirements to monitor and track improvement and performance outcomes.
• Developing business functional requirements and resources, consistent with contractual, legislative and policy environments.
• Translating business metrics to inform internal stakeholder requirements including efficiency, improvement and performance outcomes to optimise customer experience.
• Designing and delivering workshops, communication and consultation resources that support complex systems and business information gathering and sharing.
• Establishing and implementing governance and compliance processes, dashboards and management systems to track branch and divisional performance against plans and targets.
• Implementing and maintaining audit and risk processes, controls and undertaking issues resolution.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of proposed solutions and design.
• Supporting the transition of business requirements over to build teams for development.
• Supporting verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment to business requirements.

The dot points below have been provided by the individual Portfolio holders as to what a successful candidate would require:

• Salesforce experience, as would knowledge of assistive technology such as JAWs, ZoomText and Dragon
• Almost a hybrid Service Designer/Business Analyst, so stakeholder engagement pieces.
• Business Analyst who has internal experience where possible, or someone with business knowledge who is keen to learn how to be a Business Analyst but comes with engagement and business knowledge. Consideration given to a Junior Business Analyst wishing to step up and gain Agency Knowledge.
