Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Security Accreditation Officer on a contract until 30 June 2022 with potential extension.

The Senior Contractor is manager of the contract workforce and is expected to be the expert for the provision of protective security advice and each stage of the PSA process. They report to the Contract Manager and provide task allocation, direction and support to the contract workforce. They will be expected to conduct tranche three activities and support the contract workforce in the conduct of tranche one and two activities. They are to review all PSA documentation and provide recommendations to the Accreditation Authority.


  • Task allocation for contracted workforce that enables the PSA Activity Schedule
  • Conduct tranche three activities.
  • Conduct arbitration of all certification authority determinations at a national level.
  • Provide expert protective security advice and advice to units on security zone design requirements.
  • Assist with developing the forward PSA schedule for Army units.
  • Provide training support for the PSA course as well as ongoing training and development of the PSA Contractor workforce



  • Canberra based.
  • A high standard of oral and written communication.
  • Minimum NV2 Security Clearance
  • Understanding and experience of the Protective Security Environment


  • TSPV Security Clearance
  • Expertise in specialised protective security issues.
  • Graduate Certificate or Certificate IV in Security Management
  • Practical understanding of the SCIF Accreditation Life Cycle Assurance Schedule
  • Project Management or coordination experience
  • Practical understanding of implementing and maintaining Physical Security Control Measures and Security Constructed Equipment
  • Practical understanding of ASIO-T4 Tech notes and Security
