Chandler Macleod are currently recruiting for a Federal Government Agency for an APS6 Project officer.

Annual Salary: $85,234 - $97,367 + 15.4% super depending on experience.

This is an Non Ongoing role based in Sydney CBD offering hybrid work form home and office. 

PS 6 project officer (non-ongoing)

Purpose: perform project management and support activities to contribute to the delivery of a range of strategic projects to advance gender equality and broader workplace diversity.

  • Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning
  • Project delivery - takes responsibility for managing work projects to achieve intended outcomes, seeing projects through to completion, monitoring project progress and adjusts plans as required, committing to achieving quality outcomes and adhering to documentation procedures, using own expertise and seek others’ expertise to achieve work outcomes
  • Problem solving - think and solve problems, by researching and analysing information and making recommendations based on relevant evidence; identifying issues that may hinder completion of tasks and finding appropriate solutions; identifying ways to improve systems or processes which are used by the team/unit
