Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a APS6 Procurement Officer on an initial contract of 3 Months, with a 3 Months extensions.


Key Responsibilities :
The position requires a highly developed Procurement Officer with extensive hands on experience with strategic and complex procurement activities, whilst ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and government interconnected policies. Previous experience in Capital works and Construction procurements would be an advantage but not essential.

The Procurement Officer will be required to provide procuremenUK. expertise and assist stakeholders to plan, develop, and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives.

The Procurement Officer will be required to have demonstrated experience and abilities in the following areas:

  • Working experience and knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) and how they apply to a
    Corporate Commonwealth Entity (CCE).
  • Apply procurement knowledge to provide support to stakeholders through commercial/risk- based models to develop efficient and effective procurement and contracting strategies.
  • Guide stakeholders in developing and preparing tender documentation.
  • Communicate effectively and work with stakeholders related to procurement and tender activities.
  • Identify issues and develop appropriate solutions in relation to efficient and effective procurement activities.
  • Work autonomously on most tasks, promoting innovation and being proactive.
  • Work as part of a high functioning team, working towards meeting individual and team objectives and outcomes.

    Due to nature of work , candidate for this position is required to be an Australian citizen and ready to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance .
