Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a APS6 FOI Decision Maker on a contract for 12 months.
Position Overview
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Being responsible for FOI matters including consulting with relevant line areas, making FOI decisions and ensuring all matters, including complex and sensitive matters, are recorded and closed correctly on all databases in accordance with the FOI Act.
  • Managing the priorities of clients and available resources to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Mentoring and supporting, where necessary, FOI Action Officers to ensure timely processing of FOI requests.
  • Preparing and contributing to a range of other material including briefing material for Ministers, Board papers, media releases, reports to Parliamentary committees, and correspondence.
  • Supporting the development of systems, processes and practical tools including delivering training to support FOI and PIA handling and awareness.
  • Assisting and making PIA decisions as a PIA delegate where required.
