About the role:

The APS6 Community Engagement & Communications Officer is responsible to implement work that involves detailed technical, professional, operational support, policy support and advice in relation to complex problems. In addition, you will be coordinating and assisting in the strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development that support the Agency's objectives.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Support strategic and proactive events strategy and associated logistics to drive nationally consistent and locally tailored event solutions to build the Agency's brand
  • Establish and maintain strong internal and external networks to facilitate participation in a diverse range of scale events, including information sessions, forums, conferences, and webinars
  • Produce content for a variety of channels including website, Ministerial and Executive
  • Write and create briefings, event materials, social media to manage on multiple communication platforms
  • Undertake market research to provide technical advice and support to internal needs of the agency
  • Coordinate critical data analysis and feedback to measure effectiveness of activities and
  • strategies, including identifying associated risks and trends
  • Undertake document management of event documentation to support team and senior leadership
  • Assist in strategic planning, program, and project management and/or policy development for the work area


MANDATORY

  • Extensive experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one.
